That’s the single biggest problem in journalism today, and I’ve been dismayed to see it largely ignored by the new start ups. (Old media has ignored it as well — but that’s a story for a different post).

I love Timeline, but I’d like to see its headlines and briefs keep a strict relevance to the news topic they’re expanding on. It’s often unclear what the actual ‘news’ is when you read the headline/brief quickly, and that makes it hard to select stories when you’re skimming through the main feed.
