Still, it’s a laudable effort and worthwhile as trolling basically stops and the commentary under articles becomes better. However they might have priced it a little too high. Guess we’ll see in a few months if the price comes down or not.

Taking their cue from paywaller content providers such as the WSJ, et al, they’ve decided to limit their “speak-out” demographic to those with the discretionary cash (as opposed to the time) to afford to post a comment. And the pretext is “troll elimination” or some such hogwash. How about “we only want to hear from the ‘likeminded’ views that reinforce our weltanschauung…”
Fascinating. How capitalistic of them…
Sadly, part of the price of living in a culture which places freedom of speech as a paramount value is that we will sometimes read/see/hear speech that, for lack of a better phrase, pisses us off. Please dust off your Friends of Voltaire, if you get my drift…
